A bit of snow and frost in France

Camera: Canon EOS 1Ds MKIII

After strolling around in the village I decided to just sleep overnight in my Geländewagen in a parking-lot at Saint Émilion, being off-season I had it to myself. It was a fairly cold night and temperatures dropped toward freezing.

Original I had planned to use around a week count of days driving home though Europe, - but when I reached the Massif Central and experienced the snow and temperatures below zero it got somewhat cold living in the truck. So I decided to head for home a bit earlier than planed. That´s why I love this approach of travel with no really fixed plans, you´re free to alter them according to the weather and your state of mind.
I reached a filling station on the auto-route somewhere north of Lyon and called it a day and crept into my sleeping-bag, I had enjoyed my driving-day and fell asleep with a grin on my face.

It´s just so great to have the freedom to do this in this manner, to have no need to reach and locate a hotel or motel. I love this. I bring all what I need in the confinement of my G-wagon. This is perfect for me, being whom I am, and on top i keeps the expenses at a minimum. Simplifying your live will bring you joy and happiness.
