Coming south from Langisjór I wanted to drive the trail that passes trough a lake, driving in the lake itself on a narrow ledge. I have wanted to experience this since I saw a few pictures from it in Overland Journal a few years back, back when Scoot was here with the E7-team. Several vehicles have been lost in the lake because people ventured to far into the lake.
The trail trough the lake was spectacular, but unfortunately I had to turn around on the trail a bit further south, and retrace my tracks. A massive drift of snow in a narrow valley put and end to my progress. But I will be back another year.
