Iceland - one more visit, part ten

I will never get enough adventures on Iceland

Continuing south via the old Sprengisandur highland trail you get a magnificent view to the Hofsjökull and Tungnafellsjökull glaciers. The northern part of the trial sees little use and it can be difficult to spot where the track goes when fording the rivers you encounter. This time I took a chance and tried to follow some smaller trails going south in order to avoid the southern section of the new Sprengisandur track, it's very corrugated and a real pain to drive.

Lucky I succeed and saw some new and beautiful scenery completely bypassing the bigger F26 track on some tiny trails to the west.
