Defender and G-wagon in search of remoteness

Great experiences often presents themselves when nothing is planed or scheduled. Ken, in his Defender 300 TDi and myself in my Geländewagen G400 CDi, had two weeks in our hands to explore the regions of Morocco by choice. We had nothing planed, just an overview that we both wanted to explore the Anti-Atlas and the High-Atlas mountains.

And apart from the adventure we also wanted to drive some rough terrain and some difficult pistes. We wanted to get into the regions with no tourist, we are both feed up with the impact tourists has on the locals. I don´t mind to interact and chat with the local Moroccans, as long as both parties are genuine interested in learning more about other people and their cultures. In the regions influenced by European tourist the locals are often aggressive and very persistent in their begging.

Ken and I set off into the Anti-Atlas, passed through the High-Atlas and ended up in the desert. Our path were rough, we were quite lonely, and our experiences exceeded any expectation I had for our journey.
